Company History and Background

The company was formed in the autumn of 1988, as a joint venture between one of the then leading players in the leasing sector and a team of IT professionals experienced in developing and installing systems for the industry. The objective - to harness the combined resources and expertise of both parties and produce quality solutions for the industry.

One of the first tasks undertaken was a review of the various programming languages and tools available at the time. Various products were evaluated, and the decision was taken to use Progress©. This has been proved to have been the correct decision. Significant ongoing investment by Progress has resulted in regular additions to the functionality of their products and incorporation of new technology, resulting in a fourth generation language (4GL) and a powerful relational database which is highly adaptive, resilient and scalable. Towquest are resellers of Progress© Software and have been an Independent Software Vendor for many years.

Having established themselves as one of the market leader in the provision of leasing systems, the Towquest team achieved an MBO in 1995 and has gone on to build an impressive client base of industry leading companies.

With a stable team of IT staff enjoying unrivalled client industry knowledge, TQL has developed its systems over a period of years and yet remains at the forefront of product innovation, including web functionality and e-commerce.

The company has established links with industry data providers and can provide resource for web-design in line with its product web capabilities.
